DAC - Dutch American Couples

Who knows, maybe it is possible to resurrect the DAC. The purpose of this page is to give googlers a chance.

I'm not sure but I think the original DAC organisation was mainly the doings of Beth van Es , an american woman married to Marcel van Es. We, Donna and Paul Karman only heard about this group back in 1998 while shopping in 's Hertogenbosch. We heard a woman talk with a distincive american accent, Amanda Weed. She and Ben Verhees had contact with the DAC, a nice bunch of people with at least one thing in common, their dutch american relationship.

The DAC came together for traditional american style barbeques and thanksgiving. A very important subject always seemed to be swapping of recepies using dutch ingredients. The DAC was such a success that other less strict DAC members joined too. I suppose the most important thing we had in common was english and the love for a good time.

Sadly the group kinda fell apart after a couple of years when core members, most notably Beth and Marcel moved to America.

We think there are a lot of couples in Holland that really would like to feel a little bit more at home by sharing time every once in a while with fellow countrymen and women.
